31 Days of Adventure: Day 15
Embrace the Elements
"Feel the weather on your face today. Whether it's snow, rain, sun or wind, go outside and expose your cheeks to whatever the day brings." - daily email prompt
Yesterday was Easter. It was beautiful out. Sunny. 70 degrees or so. A light breeze. Now, instead of capturing the beauty with a camera I decided to keep it to myself. And then write about it.
Cadence & I ran into church. I felt the cool air rush by my skin.
On our way out I took notice of the warmth of the sun. And the coolness in the shade.
Before a picnic dinner with friends my daughter & I played under a willow tree. It was fun to hide in the branches & watch the shadows the sun made.
After our picnic dinner, it became a bit cool for the lightweight long sleeve shirt I was wearing. I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders like a cape.
In my cape, I joined my family & friends on the shoreline of a river. There I watched the wind move both water & branches, but not a strand of my hair. We were protected in a sunken clearing from both harsh elements & other park visitors. All was calm.
Until we parted ways, I watched the others enjoy the end of a beautiful Easter day. Some skipped rocks, one sunk her toes in the sand & others sat still.
The day was sweeter because of the beautiful weather. And the company that shared it.
